On April 19, 2019, FSB officers simultaneously invaded at least six homes of civilians suspected of practicing the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses. According to investigators, the suspects were engaged in "reading and discussing literature recognized as extremist." One of the victims of the operation is Marina Chaplykina. What do we know about her?
Marina was born in 1971 in Novosibirsk. One raised her daughter, trying to instill in her the qualities that are valued in society: honesty, kindness, love for people. He has been working as a hairdresser for many years. Employees and customers appreciate Marina very much for her quality work and kind attitude.
As a child, I heard from my grandmother that God exists and sees every person. Growing up, she began to read the Bible and look for answers to difficult life questions in it. After a long search, her perseverance was rewarded. Marina consciously embarked on the Christian path.
The news of her criminal prosecution not only shocked her family and friends, but also deprived her of her favorite job, and, consequently, her livelihood. Marina's family does not understand how law-abiding citizens can be persecuted for their faith in modern Russia.
