The Case of Ignatov in Oryol

Case History

In December 2020, in Oryol, Dmitriy Ignatov's home was searched as part of the case of Piskarev and others. In October 2021, the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case, accusing the believer of participating in the activity of an extremist organization. In January 2024, the case went to court. At least nine witnesses for the prosecution said they did not know Ignatov, so they could not report anything specific. In July of the same year, the court sentenced the believer to 2 years of forced labor.

    The material evidence seized from Ignatov is considered: the Holy Scriptures, notebooks, postcards, etc.
