Case History
In June 2024, the Investigative Committee in Tatarstan opened a criminal case under parts 1 and 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. At the end of July, the homes of five of Jehovah’s Witnesses were searched. Pavel Kupreyev was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility for two days. He was later released on summon to report.
