Biography
Religious harassment — this is how Natalya Krasnobaeva's family described her criminal prosecution. According to them, Natalya's personality is incompatible with the concept of extremism.
Natalya was born in June 1976 in Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Her parents worked as engineers at a design bureau for biophysical equipment in Moscow. The family was close-knit and hardworking. As a child, Natalya did artistic gymnastics and graduated from music school with a focus on the accordion. Her father is retired. Her mother and younger brother have passed away.
In 1999, Natalya graduated from the State University of Service as an engineer in household and radio-electronic equipment. Until 2008, she was a laboratory assistant at the same university department, then a social worker in Shchyolkovo. Since 2014, Natalya has worked as an electrician in the operational response team at Rosseti Moscow Region. Natalya is divorced. She has three adult daughters and a grandson.
Natalya began studying the Bible in 1995. According to her, a deep and unbiased examination of this book motivated her to get baptized as a Christian a year later.
Among Natalya's diverse interests are confectionery, figure skating, English, sewing, and growing plants. She says she inherited her creativity and athleticism from her parents — and notices the same qualities in her children.
The search of Natalya's home in June 2026, which took place while she was absent, greatly frightened her daughter and 5-year-old grandson; law enforcement officers, having broken down the front door, pointed automatic rifles at them. "How are we going to live now?!" — her daughters have asked her this question more than once. Natalya herself was subjected to pressure and intimidation from law enforcement agencies.
