Case History
In August 2026, the Investigative Committee initiated a case against Ilya Chertov, 28, from Alushta under an article for organizing the activity of a banned organization. The believer was detained at Sochi Airport and transferred to Simferopol. Ilya was placed under house arrest. His father, Vladimir Chertov, is also being prosecuted for his faith. The case was sent to court in September 2026. At the preliminary hearing, the court replaced the preventive measure with a ban on certain actions.
