Biography
Tatyana Barakhtenko was born in February 1956 in Cheremkhovo, Irkutsk Region. When she was five years old, her family moved to Zaozyorny in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Tatyana had a brother, who has since passed away.
Tatyana’s mother was a Volga German. In 1941, her family was deported to Siberia because of their ethnicity, and in 1954, the woman was rehabilitated.
Her father was a military officer with the rank of colonel, but Tatyana has no memories of him. “My mother raised us alone and suffered from serious illness,” she explained. “She worked as a primary school teacher, then as a pharmacy assistant, and also sorted newspapers and letters at the post office.” For a period, Tatyana and her brother lived in a boarding school.
As a young woman, Tatyana enjoyed skiing, basketball, and gymnastics. She completed ninth and tenth grade at night school, as she began working at age 15 delivering telegrams. “At 17, I became a telegrapher and later a telegraph supervisor. I worked at the same place until retirement,” the believer explained.
A criminal case was initiated against Tatyana in October 2025.
