In the Bryansk Region, Security Forces Conducted Another Search at a Home of a Family of Believers. A Criminal Case Has Been Initiated Against a Woman

On June 27, 2023, a search was conducted at the home of Yuliya Globa, age 41, in the village of Vorobyovka. This is already the third time the believer's home has been invaded by security forces in the last four years. A month earlier, a criminal case was initiated against the woman under charges of participation in the activities of an extremist organization.

The case was initiated by Senior Investigator V. I. Golovina of the Unecha Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Bryansk Region. According to the ruling, the criminal prosecution was based solely on her religion as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

This is already the sixth instance in the Bryansk Region of security forces taking action against Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the decision of the Supreme Court Plenum could not stop the practice of repressive application of the law on extremism toward believers.
