Tatyana Shamsheva, 42, and Olga Silayeva, 31, were arrested in the Bryansk region on June 11, 2019, after 22 searches were conducted in the homes of local Jehovah's Witnesses in the towns of Unecha and Novozybkov, and the villages of Klimovo and Dobrik. A criminal case was initiated against the two women on charges of participation in the activities of an extremist organization. Since then, they have been held in a detention center. Associated with the case, a 23rd search was also carried out in Moscow involving relatives of Olga Silayeva.
