Trial of Sergey Skrynnikov, the second Witness accused in the city of Oryol, shifted to the stage of debate March 18, 2019, as Prosecutor Nadezhda Naumova asked the court to impose a three-year prison sentence, alleging “participation in the activities of an extremist organization," and specifying three years in jail and one year's restriction of movement. After the prosecutor’s speech, the defense was given an opportunity to summarize their arguments. The defense insists on the innocence of the 56-year-old believer.
On March 28, 2019, at 10 a.m., Sergey Skrynnikov will give his final statements, and the court will retire to the deliberation room to render its verdict. The verdict is scheduled to be announced in court on April 1, 2019, at 10 a.m.
