In Crimea, Jehovah's Witnesses Again Planted Banned Materials and Disrupted Worship Services

On July 2, 2016, law enforcement officers came to a religious meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses in Alushta. They interrupted the service and "seized" a bag of Watchtower magazines from a stranger who was present in the room at the time.

The disruption of worship services is an extraordinary event and a serious violation of the rights and freedoms of citizens, as the European Court of Human Rights ruled in the case of Kuznetsov v. the Russian Federation (2007) and then reiterated in the judgment in the case of Krupko v. the Russian Federation (2014).
