Two More Jehovah's Witnesses Arrested in Bryansk Region

On October 24, 2019, in Novozybkov (Bryansk Region), the court sent two local Jehovah's Witnesses, Vladimir Khokhlov, 42, and Eduard Zhinzhikov, 47, to a pre-trial detention center until December 3. They were detained on the eve after searches in their homes. In the pre-trial detention center, two women from Novozybkov are already being held for their faith.

Update. On November 18, 2019, it became known that Vladimir Khokhlov and Eduard Zhinzhikov were transferred to Detention Unit No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Bryansk Region at ul. Sovetskaya, 2, Bryansk, 241050.

Постевой, следователь первого отдела по расследованию особо важных дел следственного управления СК России по Брянской области, возбуждает в отношении 42-летнего Владимира Хохлова и 47-летнего Эдуарда Жинжикова уголовное дело по статьям 282.2 (2) и 282.3 (1) УК РФ. Дело основывается на материалах проверки, выделенных из аналогичного дела против 2 мирных верующих новозыбчанок — Татьяны Шамшевой и Ольги Силаевой, которые с 11 июня 2019 года содержатся в СИЗО-1 по Брянской области.
